How to install and use Strategy Breadcrumbs.
Within your site theme editor, you can add Strategy Breadcrumbs as a block, anywhere on your page. Some themes may require slight tweaks to drop it in the right spot.
By default, the app will show breadcrumbs for the product, and home. This can be customized further using metafields.
Go to Metafields and metaobjects in your settings, then click Products, then add definition.
Use these attributes to fill in the info.
Name: Breadcrumbs
Namespace and key: custom.breadcrumbs
Type: Collection then select List of Collections
Then, back out to Metafields and metaobjects, then click Collections, then add definition.
Add the same info as above.
Now on each product and collection, there is a Breadcrumbs metafield where you can select collections for your breadcrumbs.
You have successfully installed the plugin and can now use it within your theme editor!
While it may be daunting to add fields to each product. The bulk edit tool can help with that. Select all your products and click the bulk edit button. Then in the top right select Columns and select the Breadcrumbs metafield.
Now you can multi-select products that should belong to the same collection.
Adding to your theme
Now we can add it to the theme by going to the theme editor, and adding the Breadcrumbs App.
You can customize the breadcrumbs using the settings on the right, or by adding a css class to your breadcrumbs using the custom classes option on the bottom.
